More About Me

UI/UX Designer based in Los Angeles

I’m a UI/UX designer based in L.A., originally from San Francisco. My love for design began with oil painting and charcoal drawing, and over time, that creative passion evolved into a deep interest in digital design and user experiences!

Education

University of California, Los Angeles

B.S. Cognitive Science w/ minor in Digital Humanities

Computing Specialization

GPA: 3.8

Design Philosophy

I’m passionate about creating thoughtful, intuitive experiences that make people feel understood. I focus on user-first design, always starting with research and empathy. Whether I’m wireframing or refining pixels, my goal is clarity, simplicity, and impact.

Tools I Use

My go-to tools are Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Notion, and a splash of HTML/CSS. I’m always exploring new plugins and workflows to keep things efficient, creative, and clean.

Artwork

Art Competition: 1st Place

This painting won me first place in a competition! Measuring 6 by 5 feet, it took me about six months to complete. I used oil paints, and since I couldn’t find a canvas this size, I actually built this one myself—buying the wood, cloth, and tools from Home Depot.

I originally created it because my mom wanted a painting to hang above our living room couch but couldn’t find one she liked in stores. She asked me to paint a sunset over the beach, so that’s what I set out to do!

Art Competition: 2nd Place

In the same competition, I also won second place for a charcoal drawing that took me about 10 hours to complete. Realism has always been my favorite art style—I admire how artists capture even the smallest details, down to an eyelash. With this piece, I aimed to do the same.

The imagery of the hands represents “life’s unforeseen obstacles” that often interfere with genuine connection. Yet, the two lovers in the piece continue to reach for each other despite those barriers, choosing to pursue their bond regardless of the circumstances—even if it’s not meant to be.

Senior Year Mural

The biggest piece I’ve ever created was a mural I designed and painted during my senior year of high school. As Treasurer of the Senior Class Council, I was given the responsibility of creating a mural that represented the graduating class of 2024.

I worked closely with the rest of the council, using over 10 buckets of paint to bring the design to life. To beat the summer heat, I would wake up at 6 a.m. every day and head to campus to paint, often spending long hours that eventually added up to more than 200 hours of work.

For the design, I incorporated the word “Seniors” to represent our class, along with cougars—the mascot of our high school. The finished mural became a lasting symbol of our class spirit and one of my most meaningful artistic projects to date.

My Furry Best Friend

Apart from spending my time as a college student, painting, drawing, and designing products, I spend time with Hershey! Hershey has been with me for almost six years now.

Hershey was homeless for a couple years but since I adopted him in 2020 from a rescue center, he has been spending his time with me and my family!
