DevX Website Design

As the Lead Design Board Member of UCLA’s product development club, DevX, I am designing the club’s website to showcase projects and attract new members. Using Figma, I focus on clean navigation, intuitive layouts, and a modern visual identity that reflects DevX’s innovative spirit while serving as both a recruitment tool and project hub.

Old DevX Website

DevX previously had a website before my designs, but we aimed to rebrand it as a club dedicated to project development. To align with this vision, we opted for a more modern color palette, selecting various shades of blue to convey a forward-thinking technological aesthetic.

Initial designs

To cultivate a more project-oriented atmosphere, I opted to feature images of ongoing projects developed by our club members on the homepage. The DevX computer serves as the focal point of these visuals, highlighting DevX's leadership in driving innovative projects. Additionally, I included an image carousel showcasing the various projects under DevX's supervision.

Post-feedback designs

After creating the initial designs, I shared them with the DevX board to gather feedback. To make the site feel more inviting and community-focused, I introduced a club theme on the homepage with photos of our members. I also designed an About Us page highlighting what DevX is all about, along with key stats like member count, active projects, and workshops.
